Bobby Sheehan talks about Joey, Basil and his new film

The inspired collaboration between downtown cabaret and drag artist Joey Arias and master puppeteer Basil Twist serves as the spine for this dynamic exploration of unfettered creativity and expression. Arias and Twist conspired together to create the performance spectacular known as Arias with a Twist, a show that brought them some of the biggest success of their careers and continues to tour since its original production in 2008.

Bobby Sheehan, a close friend of Joey Arias’ gives us a sneak peek into his new film, Arias with a Twist: The Docufantasy.  Sheehan serves as the Director and Screenwriter of this one-of-a-kind film. Continue Reading

RTWORK BY MAJOR CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS CONTRIBUTING TO THE 2010 TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL ARTIST AWARDS, ON DISPLAY AT THE CHANEL BOUTIQUE SOHO

The 2010 Tribeca Film Festival and CHANEL will host a unique gallery show free and open to the public featuring original artwork from some of the world’s most renowned contemporary artists from April 21  - April 28, between 11 a.m. -7 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 12 -6 p.m. on Sunday, at the CHANEL Boutique in SoHo, 134 Spring Street, Manhattan.

The exhibit will include pieces by Yoko Ono, Stephen Posen, Maira Kalman, Stephen Hannock, Vik Muniz, Clifford Ross, Gada Amer and Reza Farkondeh, Maurizio Galimberti, Spencer Platt, Valerie Heggarty and Sheila Berger. Continue Reading

2010 TRIBECA FILM FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES WORLD NARRATIVE AND DOCUMENTARY COMPETITION, SHOWCASE FILM SELECTIONS AND SPECIAL EVENTS SCREENINGS

The 2010 Tribeca Film Festival (TFF), presented by American Express®, the Founding Sponsor of the Festival, announced the first 34 films to be presented among the 85 feature length and 47 short films at this year’s Festival.
