RS Barcelona Stands Out at ICFF
ICFF is always a great time to see the latest in design up close and personal. This year, Clear Mag had a chance to stop by RS Barcelona, and these are a few of our favorites…
Eiffel stool has been designed in a minimal manner so the structure itself becomes form. It is completely earth friendly, as it is made out of pure pulp and recycled paper. The material is prominent by means of durability, flexibility, weight and insulation. No doubt, its strength will amaze you. While the Eiffel Tower, which inspired this piece, has four legs, the stool has only three. It’s just a matter of ergonomics and comfort. The three legs offer the same stability as a four-legged stool and greater freedom of movement when you’re sitting, because legroom is not limited by a chair-leg on each side, as happens with chairs of 4. The stool is presented in gray colors and comes in an attractive cardboard flat pack. And it includes a recycled cotton bag. Once at home or in the office it takes less than five minutes to assemble. It’s that easy. It’s that comfortable.

The Beeblock is a single seat hexagonal module, inspired by a honeycomb. For that reason, it’s at its best as part of a group. Placed side-by-side, they create a honeycomb that grows in any direction and fits in any space. The block’s conical shape leaves a gap between them which pays homage to the source of inspiration. In addition, Beeblock is made of ABS plastic and treated for outdoor use.

UP’s is a new modular storage system, which, thanks to its dimensions, can adapt to any space. Multiple combinations allow it to be built up from a simple buffet for the dining room to an extensive library for either the home or the office. Modules of different widths and lengths are fitted together, creating open spaces that integrate perfectly into the structure. In this way, the storage possibilities are multiplied as much as you want. The modules may contain drawers or shelves; they can be opened or closed by sliding or folding doors. You can make it grow as much as you want and wherever you want. The possibilities are endless. Designed by Werner Aisslinger, UP’s modular system is made out of sheet metal with wood fronts of different finishes. Assembly is quick and easy as the modules are delivered completely finished according to customer specifications, ready to put together.
