Roll & Hill Makes European Debut at DESIGNJUNCTION 2011
Roll & Hill may be the new kids on the block, but they have high expectations and plenty of confidence for their European debut this week.
Since launching in January 2010, Roll & Hill has become one of the most notable new design brands in North America. This year, the company is pleased to announce its debut in Europe, with an exhibition to be held during the Milan Furniture Fair beginning today and ending April 17th in Zona Tortona.
The exhibition will feature special installations of the product lines “Endless” and “Odds and Ends,” designed by Jason Miller, and “Knotty Bubbles,” designed by Lindsey Adams Adelman. Roll & Hill’s exhibition will be a part of Design Junction, a privately organized venue at Ermenegildo Zegna Headquarters, via Savona 56A, within the Tortona area.
The three new product lines will be part of the 2011 Roll & Hill collection, which will be fully unveiled next month at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York.
Endless is a modular lighting system comprised of half-cylinder sections that can be joined back-to-back or end-to-end into numerous configurations. Endless can be both a wall light and a hanging light.
Odds and Ends is a series of wall lights made of hand-blown glass or acrylic and brass. Basic shapes can be combined to create larger installations.
Knotty Bubbles is a series of lights made from hand-blown glass “bubbles” wrapped with knotted
rope.
