Fantasy reigns within the SS10 Little Shilpa collection, seducing the senses and indulging the psyche, providing a visionary route to escapism.

Drawing inspiration from the hustle and bustle that surrounds so many of us on an everyday basis her SS10 collection is the perfect anecdote to the monotony of the daily grind.

Like previous seasons opulence and extravagance are key, with each headpiece resembling a portable installation. References from the London Underground, Bombay markets, grey winter mornings and maddening traffic jams are reflected within the collection, fusing together the two worlds that Shilpa straddles in her every day life.

Key pieces include an oversized perspex tree perching precariously upon an extravagant flower helmet and a fan inspired headpiece decorated with materials reminiscent of Rajasthani artwork from the province of Jaisalmer. LED lights flicker from the most unexpected places whilst giant bows balance daintily, festooned with multi coloured bangles.

Created from a plethora of treasures and trinkets found during her travels, each unique piece is painstakingly fashioned by hand, resulting in a decadent finish that retains a mischievous sparkle.
