Ørgreen and Arne Jacobsen Collaborate in Copenhagen

Ørgreen’s new København collection and the special edition of ’s ™ chair mark the beginning of collaborations between two of ’s most famous design innovators.

The København collection as well as The Swan™ chair, designed by the legendary Danish architect Arne Jacobsen in 1958, will both display ’s beautiful skyline. On the glasses, it can be seen along the temples of the frame as a fine laser cut detail. As for The Swan™, the same skyline design is stitched on the wool front of the chair with a classic full leather back.

Drawing on architecture, art and classic American cars as its design departure point, Ørgreen is famous for its streamlined styles, creative color combinations and precision engineering.

The København frames use balanced yet unpredictable colors in 5 duo-toned variants reflecting Ørgreen’s signature approach to shades and shapes. The Swan chair, styled by Ørgreen, consists of the same 5 carefully chosen tones in wool for the front of the chairs, each with black leather on the back. The partnering of two different materials, in this case wool and leather, is a first for the Swan chair.

This collaboration, referred to as the , marks a new addition to the Ørgreen Playground. The first was an exhibition partnered with for in 2009.
