			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>G-Star’s Fall/Winter 2010 advertising campaign, shot by celebrated photographer Anton Corbijn, combines the intelligence of Norwegian chess prodigy, Magnus Carlsen, with the beauty of model and actress,<span id="more-3800"></span> Liv Tyler.</p>
<p>This combination of contrasting and unexpected elements is one of G-Star’s key philosophies, displayed in runway shows, where destroyed denim pants are often paired with tailored jackets from the <em>Correct Line</em> range; and where iconic and fearless performers, such as Benicio Del Toro, interrupt proceedings to deliver spoken-word pieces in a form of ‘art-hijack.’</p>
<p>Already the world chess number one and described as a ‘Mozart of chess,’ Carlsen has the potential to become a similar level of icon. Becoming a Grandmaster at the age of 13 years and 148 days, Magnus is the youngest player in history to achieve the number one rank and his uncompromising approach to the game mirrors G-Star’s own hardcore design philosophy.</p>
<p>Hollywood actress Tyler perfectly embodies the modern G-Star woman’s combination of toughness with controlled sensuality. Her striking looks and assured, independent style have made her a globally recognized model and fashion icon. Liv returns for her second G-Star campaign, having previously presented the elegant <em>Low-T</em> capsule-collection.</p>
<p>The striking black and white images were captured by Anton Corbijn in a Miami shoot that represents his fourth major advertising campaign for G-Star.</p>

The <strong>FRANZ 24k </strong>limited edition is equipped with flash mirrored golden sun lenses coated in 24-karat gold, produced by Christian Dalloz Sunoptics.</p>
<p>A shape originally designed to accompany Bernhard Willhelm’s winter collection inspired by the 1976 Olympics, <strong>FRANZ 24k </strong>is showcasing MYKITA’s extraordinary ability to mix the past with the present.</p>
<p>In addition to the all <em>gold </em>version, a highly polished golden frame with the matching 24-karat gold-mirrored lenses, this limited edition collection sees MYKITA introducing a black <strong>FRANZ </strong>version. The <em>matt black </em>hand-lacquered frame enhances the gold-mirror lenses’ stand out effect even more, and plays with contrasting golden hinge detailing.</p>
<p>The <strong>FRANZ 24k </strong>comes with a specially designed black glasses case, as well as a hand numbered box and certificate of authenticity.</p>
<p>The unabashedly luxurious <strong>FRANZ 24k </strong>edition is, as all MYKITA frames, made by hand in the MYKITA HAUS located in the heart of Berlin.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Last week, Salvatore Ferragamo Parfums launched ATTIMO, their new pillar fragrance at The Standard New York.  Ferragamo teamed up with campaign model<span id="more-3777"></span> Dree Himingway, as well as international hostesses Gaia Repossi, Fabiola Beracasa, Chiara Clemente and Lady Alice St Clair Erskine in celebration of the launch.</p>
<p><strong>The Name:</strong><br />
Italian for a precious moment of “Gioia di vivere” (love of life),  ATTIMO represents the pleasure of living every moment as if it were a precious gift, every second as a celebration. A memorable Italian name that communicates the essence of Italian chic, for a fragrance that expresses the core of Salvatore Ferragamo: innate elegance, timeless glamour and irresistible seduction.</p>
<p><strong>The Campaign:</strong></p>
<p>Aimed at a younger demographic, Ferragamo selected Dree Hemingway as their campaign model. Dree’s effortless chic and timeless beauty make her the perfect fit for the campaign, shot by acclaimed photographer Craig McDean in Paris. The commercial was shot in Rome by Paul Mignot.</p>

<p>Having equally eccentric, creative and talented designer parents, the girls were raised in a household where creativity and self‐expression was always encouraged. Through passions for art and design, as well as a solid education, the makings for something great was started at a young age.</p>
<p>Taking inspiration from new found friends, foreign beaches and distant customs and cultures, the girls decided to embark on a new adventure ‐ creating a collection of swimwear that would reflect their love of travel, one of a kind statement pieces and their appreciation for that perfect bikini. The MIKOH brand was then born.</p>
<p>MIKOH is synonymous with femininity, strength and beauty. MIKOH SWIMWEAR is a fusion of statement colors inspired by the world around us, luxurious fabrics and the perfect fitting pieces. <p>For their latest international fashion campaign, Mercedes-Benz has matched its new E-Class Cabriolet with style icon Milla Jovovich, renowned fashion photographer Miles Aldridge and British milliner Philip Treacy. The result is an intensely colourful homage to contemporary surrealism.</p>
<p>The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, Milla Jovovich and a custom designed hat by Philip Treacy all join forces to create a compelling image that underscores the campaign theme, „Express Your Style‟. The vivid colours that are characteristic of Miles Aldridge‟s work reinforces the visual motif: the convergence of modern design and artistic freedom. Aldridge confidently plays with the themes of personality and self-expression.</p>
<p>“Fascination and individuality – that‟s the connection between Mercedes-Benz and high-calibre fashion design. The Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet embodies a particularly elegant and unique design. That‟s why we brought together our new E-Class Cabriolet, the exciting Milla Jovovich and an extravagant hat by Philip Treacy to portray these properties in our current visual motif,” explains Anders Sundt Jensen, Vice President Brand Communication Mercedes-Benz Cars.</p>
<p>The Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet stands for individuality and expression. The car captivates everyone with its innovative technology, sustainable mobility and graceful silhouette. In accordance with the principle, “four seasons, four passengers”, the AIRCAP® wind protection system can be activated at the push of a button. This considerably reduces air turbulence in the interior. Similarly, the AIRSCARF® neck warming function means that riding in a Cabriolet is now possible during all seasons.</p>
<p>Miles Aldridge‟s dreamlike photography is always suggestive of colourful narratives from life‟s rich tapestry. “From the start I liked the idea of doing a shoot with the E-Class Cabriolet. To me, the car is a luxurious design object, a smooth hermetic machine. I think it‟s amazingly photogenic, and it fits into the picture perfectly,&#8221; says Miles Aldridge.</p>
<p>Milla Jovovich is the convincing personality that fronts the campaign. As a multi-talented female figure – model, actress, singer, and fashion designer – her easy elegance and natural confidence personifies individuality. “I‟ve never really worked on a campaign with a car as co-star before. The challenge is to not let the E-Class Cabriolet steal the show, so I really have to make an effort,” she said, laughing during the photo shoot.</p>
<p>Philip Treacy specifically created a hat for the Mercedes-Benz campaign. It is made up of 300 feathers that have been individually shaped and painted with &#8220;road markings&#8221;. As he explains, “The idea for the hat developed whilst working with Miles. I thought that an extravagant hat would be perfect for the image. Hats express individuality, an extreme form of luxury and this symbolizes a positive outlook.”</p>
<p>The new Mercedes-Benz E-Class Cabriolet, Milla Jovovich, Miles Aldridge and Philip Treacy have created a remarkable key visual campaign – an expressive and colourful interpretation of modern life and personal taste – “Express your style”.</p>
<p>The new campaign theme will premier at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Berlin from July 7-10, 2010.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Earlier this week, noteworthy New Yorkers joined forces to celebrate the 10<sup>th</sup> Anniversary of the Continuum Center for Health &amp; Healing, an innovative and thriving initiative of Beth Israel Medical Center, at Espace on West 42<sup>nd</sup> street in New York City.<span id="more-3573"></span>The Continuum Center’s founder Woodson Merrell, MD along with Beastie Boys frontman Michael “Mike D” Diamond, Fernanda Niven &amp; Eric Cahan, Rory Tahari, Gabby Karan De Felice,Michelle &amp; Asher Edelman, Dayssi Kanavos, Sharon J. Handler &amp; Ambassador John L. Loeb, Sheila C. Johnson, Margaret &amp; Daniel Loeb, Pat Collins &amp; Bill Sarnoff, Linda &amp; Benjamin Lambert, Fiona &amp; Eric Rudin, Paulette Cole, Charlotte Sarkozy, Somers &amp; Jonathan Farkas, Caroline Hirsch, and Muffie Potter Aston, toasted <strong>Donna Karan</strong>, whose Urban Zen initiative has created an optimal healing environment at Beth Israel Medical Center, where western medicine blends seamlessly with the spiritual and emotional needs of the patient.</p>
<p>The evening culminated with a rare and unique solo performance by international recording artist Elvis Costello, who took to the stage towards the end of dinner.</p>
<p>A silent auction, and support from sponsors including Canyon Ranch Living- Miami Beach, helped the Continuum Center for Health and Healing raise over $400,000 at last night’s benefit.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>The natural and luxurious fabrics of the collection range from wool, cashmere and leather to plastics. Romain Kremer developed high technology fabrics such as cashmere covered with a layer of transparent plastic or a crazy moulded latex fake fur. The colour palette stretches from natural to radioactive, with black, beige, nude, neon red and mint green.<span id="more-3536"></span>The eyewear piece, which completes this futuristic collection, was for the second season designed and developed in collaboration with eyewear design brand MYKITA.  The eyewear, which actually is more of a headpiece, is made of a type of polycarbonate and has been designed to figuratively protect the 3rd eye and the brain. It shapes the face, almost like a helmet, or as Kremer expressed it “eats” the wearer’s face. Named after the soviet astronaut Yuri Gagarin, the first man in outer space, the <strong>YURI </strong>reinforces the idea of a new type of man with a sci-fi warrior touch.</p>
<p><strong> </strong></p>
<p><strong>YURI</strong>’s shape is anatomic and aerodynamic: It follows the body, polishes it, and extends it in order to create a man-machine. The <strong>YURI </strong>comes with small peepholes instead of lenses, which like in traditional Inuit eyewear simply reduce the amount of sunrays getting to the eyes. This piece comes in an aggressive <em>Black </em>and in a “digital”, almost supernatural <em>Neon Red</em>. Already spotted on Lady Gaga during London Fashion Week in March 2010, the <strong>YURI </strong>will be available in stores from August 2010.</p>
